Senior Food Safety Manager

Overview: Join our dedicated team as the Senior Food Safety Manager , where you'll be at the helm of ensuring top-notch food safety at our Wisconsin facility. This role demands a seasoned professional to steer our food safety initiatives, enforce compliance, and innovate in product development. If safeguarding food quality is your forte, this role is designed for you.

Your Role Includes:

• Team Leadership: Guide the entire food safety team and quality assurance departments
• Lead and manage food safety protocols like GMP, SQF, HACCP, and preventive controls.
• Implement and oversee comprehensive food safety plans, covering chemical, allergen, environmental, and pest controls.
• Ensure all food safety measures meet industry and governmental regulations.
• Advise customers on product quality and technical specifications.
• Partner in new product formulation, staying ahead of emerging regulations.
• Conduct and oversee external and internal audits, including SQF, HACCP, and GMP.
• Manage nutritional and ingredient documentation for all products.
• Supervise third-party audits and ensure supplier and vendor standards are met.
• Efficiently monitor and validate preventive measures.
• Lead training sessions on food safety practices like SQF and HACCP.
• Regularly enhance and update food safety plans.

What We’re Looking For:

• BS degree in science, prefer Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a similar field (required).
• 7+ years in food safety, quality systems, product development, and technical support.
• 5+ years of experience leading food safety and quality teams in a manufacturing setting (required).
• Prefer SQF Practitioner, HACCP, and PCQI certifications.
• Strong skills in both verbal and written communication.
• Ability to identify and assess food safety risks and quality issues.
