Title: Copywriter

Do you love to write? Are you proficient in English and 'Ōlelo Hawai'i? Can you get passionate about any topic and write about it? In a speech to be delivered by an executive? Or, expressed in an op-ed? And abbreviated into pithy, compelling social media posts? Or, reincarnated creatively into a script for television or radio advertising? If you are always full of fun and productive ideas to engage consumers or professionals, you're in luck! We are looking for freelance copywriters!

Your Application

We’re seeking a special breed of writing enthusiast, who has the passion and a mind for solution finding. Please include the following in your application:

• Writing samples. It must show a diversity of topics & styles. And you must have written the bulk of it, or if now, explain what you did and didn't do.
• Good professional writers can in support of clients. But they also have their opinions. Share a few of your personal opinions. About anything.
• They say that a true artist is like a hermit. We don't care how you live but we do work as a team. Share with us how you work in a team setting.

Requirements

• University degree in English, Hawaiian Studies or Public Relations
• Strong writing samples
• Proficiency of 'Ōlelo Hawai'i preferred

Also Required:

• Agency experience preferred but not required
• Familiarity with local history, culture and marketplace preferred
• A curious mind and a quick study on new topics, issues and ideas
• Keen attention to detail and excellent writing and math and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Looking or someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do mindset
