Position Summary:
The Commercial Roofing Estimator will play a critical role in our sales and project management teams, responsible for evaluating commercial roofing projects, preparing detailed cost estimates, and helping to secure new business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial roofing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work closely with clients, project managers, and suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform site visits to assess project scope and conditions.
• Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for commercial roofing projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Develop detailed proposals and present them to clients, highlighting the value of our services.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure that estimates align with project timelines and budgets.
• Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather and verify cost information.
• Monitor market conditions and pricing trends to keep estimates competitive.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and handoffs to the project management team.
• Assist in negotiating contracts and change orders with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial roofing estimating or a related field.
• Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Proficient in estimating software and tools (e.g., Edge, PlanSwift).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
