The starting wage for this role is $21.26 per hour. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime. 3rd Shift 10 pm to 6 am
Ensure all area personnel/helpers are working safely. Report & correct differences immediately.
• Coordinates with subordinates daily shift assignments and batching requirements.
• Oversee that all allergen process are conducted in a safe manner to prevent contaminations.
• Teach and mentor batcher and area employees of GMP’s, company SOP’s, SAP and SQF requirements.
• Ensure part bags and batches made are properly identified and stored in a safe manner.
• Monitor line progress throughout the shift. Coordinate and monitor the work of all employees of the dispensary area.
• Responsible for training of new employees.
• Keep assigned work area clean and all GMP's are being followed.
• Ensure proper batch sequence and that all washouts occur.
• Provide input on performance reviews, GMP violations & performance issues.
• Ensure proper line setup to include plumbing, motors, pumps, mills, etc.
• Ensure proper sanitation has been completed before running any products.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel any equipment breakdowns.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments and weight blending.
• Basic understanding of GMP's for a food manufacturing facility.
• Inform supervisor on any batching problems or safety issues that arise.
• Accurately maintain all batching records.
• Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Inspects product to verify production requirements are met and make changes if necessary.
• Effectively manages and assigns labor to complete production schedules as efficiently as possible.
• Directly supervises employees in assigned work center. ( Does not discipline.) Able to step into a work center and help when needed.
• Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Enforces company policies and procedures and enforces safety regulations and good manufacturing practices.
• Train new hires and re-certification in assigned areas.
• Computes amount of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems. Escalate issues that may arise during the shift in a timely manner.
• Create/Submit Work requests for equipment or facilities using SAP for maintenance.
• Participate in daily pre-shift huddles.
• Perform hand-off with outgoing and incoming shifts.
• Update Tier boards.
• Champion operational break relief
• Promote a positive working environment while driving a Continuous Improvement culture.
• Verify Item/Material against COOISPI SAP Data
• Responsible for line setup, changeovers, proper shut downs, and site startups.
• Communicate all Food Safety, Quality, and/or Workplace Safety issues/concerns to management.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Responsible for all required job related documentation.
• Communicate effectively with other departments.
• Follow all Kerry safety, environmental and regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Required to maintain adequate performance levels as directed.
• Must be punctual and attend scheduled hours as instructed.
